Competition entry for the architectural contest of Haapsalu City Government.

About This Project

We participated in the architectural contest organized by the Haapsalu City Government. A record-breaking 36 competition entries were submitted for the Estonian Architecture Championships. Our entry was not selected, but we would like to share our solution with you. Our goal was to create a government building for Haapsalu’s Lossiplats that would be open and restore the historical spatial setting, while continuing the worthy tradition of Haapsalu’s wooden architecture. The central idea was an atrium running through the building, providing spaciousness, light, and direct interaction between the citizens and officials.
